Alanna E.A. McCall

From the local town of Ballynahinch, Alanna attended Down High school in Downpatrick, going on to graduate from Queen’s University, Belfast with a 2:1 degree in Law.

Alanna took up her professional studies with the Institute of Professional Legal Studies in 2017, training with Murlands Solicitors as an Apprentice Solicitor.

She qualified as a Solicitor in 2019, and has since become an invaluable member of the Private Client team in Murlands.

Alanna specialises in the drafting and administration of wills, trusts and estates. She has a particular interest in issues affecting elderly and vulnerable clients and deals with a wide array of capacity issues such as Enduring Powers of Attorney and Controllership Orders. She can also provide specialist advice for planning for the future to include Inheritance Tax Planning and care home fee planning.

In 2024, Alanna began her STEP Diploma and has completed two advanced certificates in Administration of Estates and Administration of Trusts. She is currently an Associate member of STEP.

Alanna also assists the residential conveyancing team and has extensive experience in dealing with residential sales and purchases.

In her spare time, Alanna has numerous hobbies including cycling and she recently completed a charity cycle from London to Paris. Alanna is an active member of her local CrossFit gym and enjoys spending time on her family farm or up at their holiday home at the North Coast.
