Millicent C. Tate
Millicent is an alumna of Forthill Girls’ High School Lisburn, Methodist College Belfast and Queen’s University Belfast. In 2000, Millicent graduated from QUB with a 2:1 LLB Honours in Common and Civil Law with Hispanic Studies, having spent a year of her studies abroad at the University of Alcalá de Henares, Madrid, Spain. In 2003, she gained her Certificate of Professional Legal Studies (CPLS) with Distinction from the Institute of Professional Legal Studies.
Millicent began working for Murlands in January 2003 mid-apprenticeship and qualified as a solicitor in September of the same year. She was appointed Partner in 2017.
Millicent specialises in Residential and Agricultural Conveyancing and is also an expert in protected tenancies. Millicent acts for a number of churches, sports clubs and community associations in addition to residential developers from site acquisition through to development sales.
Millicent is a member of the Northern Ireland branch of the Agricultural Law Association and a member of the Law Society’s Remuneration Panel.
In her spare time, she enjoys learning foreign languages and helping out on the family farm. When not at home, she enjoys holidays spent sightseeing and on the beach abroad.
