Alanna Patterson

From the local town of Ballynahinch, Alanna attended Down High school in Downpatrick until 2014.  Eager to pursue law at degree level, she went on to study at Queen’s University. During her studies Alanna was a member of the Mooting Society which involved exercising skills of persuasive advocacy and working as part of a team; skills she hopes to transfer to her career as a solicitor in order to achieve the best outcome for clients. She celebrated graduating with a 2:1 in July 2017.

Alanna began her role as an Apprentice solicitor with Murlands in August 2017 and her professional studies with the Institute of Professional Legal Studies in September 2017.  Alanna is looking forward to gaining a wide array of experience in the various areas of practice Murlands offers but is already developing an interest in matrimonial, family and criminal law disputes.

In her spare time Alanna has numerous hobbies including competing in horseriding competitions over Ireland. She is also an active member of the gym and enjoys spending time at her family’s holiday home at the North Coast
